''The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss'' is an American children's puppet television series based on characters created by Dr. Seuss, produced by The Jim Henson Company. It aired from October 13, 1996, to May 15, 1998, on Nickelodeon. It combines live puppets with digitally animated backgrounds, and in its first season, refashioning characters and themes from the original Dr. Seuss books into new stories that often retained much of the flavor of Dr. Seuss' own works. Format In many respects, seasons one and two of the program are very different shows. The two seasons have completely different intro and outro credit sequences and songs reflecting their differing orientations. ''Gerald McBoing-Boing'' is a Flash-animated children's television series based on the 1950 animated short film '' Gerald McBoing-Boing'', that aired on Cartoon Network in the United States (as part of their then-'' Tickle-U'' programming block) for its first 14 episodes from August 22, 2005 to 2006. The series aired on Teletoon in Canada, premiering on August 29, 2005 and ending its first season on November 28, 2007. It also aired on ABC Kids in Australia. It was set to later air in reruns on Boomerang around 2007. It uses the same basic art style as the original except more detailed: each 11-minute episode features a series of vignettes with Gerald, of what the "fantasy tales" are done in Seussian rhyme. The Cat In The Hat Comes Back
''The Cat in the Hat Comes Back'' is a 1958 children's book written and illustrated by American author Theodor Geisel under his pen name Dr. Seuss. Published by Random House as one of its five original Beginner Books, it is the sequel to ''The Cat in the Hat'' (1957). In the book, the Cat in the Hat leaves a pink stain in the bathtub and spreads it around the house while cleaning it. He unveils a series of increasingly small cats from beneath his hat until the smallest one lifts his hat and unleashes a force called Voom that cleans away the pink stain. The book uses under 300 distinct words with a plot inspired by Geisel's earlier story "The Strange Shirt Spot" (1951). It reuses several aspects of ''The Cat in the Hat'', such as poor weather preventing the children from playing and the absence of an adult figure. ''The Cat in the Hat'' is a 1957 children's book written and illustrated by American author Dr. Seuss. The story centers on a tall anthropomorphic cat who wears a red and white-striped top hat and a red bow tie. The Cat shows up at the house of Sally and her brother one rainy day when their mother is away. Despite the repeated objections of the children's fish, the Cat shows the children a few of his tricks in an attempt to entertain them. In the process, he and his companions, Thing One and Thing Two, wreck the house. As the children and the fish become more alarmed, the Cat produces a machine that he uses to clean everything up and disappears just before the children's mother comes home.
